Electirc Scissor Lifts
Electric scissor lifts are extremely useful for a multitude of reasons and may be why you would want to hire one of them over diesel. First and foremost, they are safe to be used both inside and outside. This alone makes scissor lifts incredibly versatile. They also tend to be quite compact and small allows for ease of access through single frame doors.
Electric scissor lifts also produce less noise levels, so that when they are inside they are not disrupting people around them. Due to them being electric they do not emit any harmful fumes. Overall, electric scissor lifts are becoming more and more popular due to emission regulations.
Diesel Scissor Lifts
Diesel scissor lifts, as the name suggests, require diesel to operate and so cannot be used inside. That is, however, not to say that they don’t see any action! Diesel scissor lifts are often a lot bigger than their electric scissor lift counterparts. This means it can carry more operators and go higher doing it.
Diesel scissor lifts tend to have more heavy duty tires which allows them to travel over difficult terrain. Despite their high noise emission, the fact that they only work for outside means that the sound is allowed to dissipate. They are fantastic for heavy duty works that require a number of workers going up at height with their tools.
